Qualified for European Spring Masters
In the Spring Split Grand Final we defeated MCON Rotterdam 3-1. Our esports players proved their worth not only in the play-offs, but also in the regular competition. For five out of seven weeks, our team was in first place, finishing the round robin with 11 wins and just three losses. On April 4 and 5, KRC Genk Esports will represent our region at the European Spring Masters.
“I am very proud of the team and the development we have gone through. After a strong regular season, we had a little dip. Together we came out stronger. With results, because we can prepare for the Champions League in League of legends.”
Ralph Tesselhof, Head coach League of Legends
First title, more on the way?
Two years ago, KRC Genk took its first steps into the esports world. With this title in the highest League of Legends competition in the Benelux, we immediately win a first prestigious prize. The KRC Genk Esports is also prospering this season in FIFA, the most popular football game in the world. Gilles Bernard, for example, is first in the ePro League, the Belgian competition. Stefano Pinna was even the only Belgian to qualify for the knockout phase of the eChampions League and is therefore one of the 32 best players in Europe.
