Gilles Bernard wins ePro League for KRC Genk
In the virtual variant of the Pro League, Gilles Bernard has won the final with a wonderful comeback against Standard Liège. With this he takes home the second major prize for KRC Genk Esports this season. After all, the Proximus ePro League is the most important FIFA competition in Belgium.
After the first game it was a bit of a shiver when Shadoow (Standard Luik) beat our Gilles 0-2. Afterwards, he understood the tactical plan of his opponent and he managed to pull the sheet to himself with a 3-0 victory. An important one, as it gives us a ticket to FIFA’s Global Series Play-Offs, a competition where the best 128 FIFA players in the world participate.
“I am very proud and relieved after such a long season. Despite the 0-2 deficit, I continued to believe in it. When my first goal came, I secretly knew it was going to be okay.” said Gilles.
